Lacey Co-op is offering its first Summer Program June 7th - August 20th for children currently registered at LCP, WCP, ECP, or SICP.  Children must 3-6 years old.  If you are interested please contact Anjee Zable at 360-491-7161 or 406-208-2845.

Because parents rotate assisting the teacher in the classroom, there is a ratio of 1 adult to 5 children for ages 3 and older, and 1 adult to 3 children for under 3 years old. Younger children do not have to be toilet trained.     The children’s program is developmentally based for each class and offers pre-kindergarten activities, including letter & number recognition for 4 and 5 year olds. All classes have “circle time” with stories, music and movement, ongoing art activities, large muscle activities, cooking projects, snack time, a science and discovery area, and a dramatic play area. A wide variety of learning materials are also available for children to explore, including a sensory table, puzzles, blocks, and other games to enhance all areas of development. A large outdoor area includes a new large climbing structure with slides, swings, a sandbox, and wheeled toys.     Our program strongly focuses on learning social and problem solving skills and adopts the philosophy that children “learn best through play”. Since the preschool has an affiliation with South Puget Sound Community College, parenting workshops are offered once a month on topics related to parenting and child development at no extra cost.
